Instructions
Step 1: Clean
Gently wash the silicone mold and stainless steel container with warm water and soap. Ensure all parts are thoroughly cleaned before use for the best results.
Step 2: Fill
Fill the stainless steel container halfway with water. Insert the silicone mold and press gently until water flows through the mold’s bottom holes, filling the ice shapes and removing any air pockets. Once the mold is fully seated on the vessel, top off the custom ice shapes with water until they’re slightly covered—this ensures perfect cubes, even with slight evaporation in the freezer.
Step 3: Freeze
Place the Glacia Solo or V-Pack on a flat surface in the freezer to start the freezing process. If water spills during the move, simply top off the mold with more water to ensure the ice shapes are fully covered.
Tip: Every freezer and water source is a little different, so achieving crystal-clear ice may take a few adjustments. Head over to our FAQ section for tips on perfect ice.
Step 4: Release
After 18–22 hours for the Solo and 20–26 hours for the V-Pack, it’s time to release the ice. Lift the handles gently to detach the silicone mold from the bottom section, then carefully remove the mold from the stainless container. Flip the mold upside down and press each ice cube out with your thumbs into a bowl. If the ice isn’t fully frozen at the bottom, increase the freeze time.
For best results, release the ice when it's fully frozen but with water still left in the bottom reservoir. We recommend avoiding leaving the Solo or V-Pack in the freezer too long, as freezing the entire unit makes removal more difficult.
Step 5: Serve or Save
Enjoy your ice immediately in a favorite drink, or store it in a Glacia freezer bag for future use.
Tip: To avoid cracking, allow the ice to acclimate to room temperature for a few minutes before placing in any liquid.
